Back from the Hill

The gallery's annual exhibition of many years, celebrating the outdoors and country pursuits. Some of the very best artists of the genre past and present are represented; examples by twentieth century painters John Cyril Harrison (1898-1985), George Edward Lodge (1860-1959) and Archibald Thorburn (1860-1935) feature alongside more recent paintings by Rodger McPhail (b. 1953) and Tania Still (b. 1976) and sculpture by Stephen Henderson (b. 1956). This year we are also delighted to be offering a selection of framed original watercolours by the late Bryn Parry (1956-2003), one of Britain's best-known countryside cartoonists.
