Art Advisory and Consultation

Emily Tsingou has an established reputation as a leading contemporary fine art dealer and advisor. Over the last twenty-five years she has been an active participant in the art world, as a curator, writer, gallerist, and art advisor.

Emily received a Masters (MA) in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London and also holds an MA in Arts Criticism awarded by the City University, London. In the early 1990s she spent several years working as an independent curator and art advisor. During this time she was also a Publication Advisor to Art Magazine and Chief Greek Correspondent for Flash Art International. She has also contributed to Artforum and Index.

In 1997 she inaugurated Emily Tsingou Gallery (1997-2007), which soon became one of the key contemporary art galleries in London. Her international programme included the first solo exhibitions in London for numerous artists including Karen Kilimnik, Gregory Crewdson, and Jim Shaw. The programme also produced some highly original thematic group shows. After a decade of exhibitions Emily chose to concentrate solely on advising a select number of collectors and founded Emily Tsingou Fine Art.

Whilst being active in the international circuit, Emily is an avid supporter of the London public arts community. She is a patron of South London Gallery, Gold Patron at Tate, Michael Clark Company, Whitechapel Art Gallery, and Serpentine Gallery. Emily has served as a Trustee of The Showroom and head of the Development Committee.
