Hauser & Wirth was founded in 1992 in Zurich by Iwan Wirth, Manuela Wirth and Ursula Hauser, and was joined in 2000 by Partner and President Marc Payot. The gallery is led today by Co-Presidents Iwan Wirth and Manuela Wirth, alongside President Marc Payot and CEO Mirella Roma (appointed 2024).

A family business with a global outlook, Hauser & Wirth has grown over the past three decades into one of the leading international galleries for modern and contemporary art. It now operates across Europe, the United States and Asia, with locations including London, Somerset, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Paris, Monaco, Zurich, Menorca, Basel, Gstaad and St. Moritz, among others.

The gallery represents over 90 artists and estates whose work has shaped its identity and programme. These relationships underpin Hauser & Wirth’s broad range of activities spanning exhibitions, publishing, learning, hospitality, and sustainability, with a continued focus on supporting artists and expanding access to art and culture globally.
