Modern & Contemporary Art, with a particular focus on Modern British art

John Swarbrooke Fine Art was established in 2021 and offers advisory services to buyers and sellers of art with a focus on 20th and 21st-century art, as well as presenting exhibitions through the year online and in-person in London. The gallery is a member of Cromwell Place.

Founded on the principles of transparency, art historical rigour and (most importantly) a straightforward approach, John Swarbrooke Fine Art is delighted to accept enquiries from collectors, whether they are seasoned or new to the art world.

With over a decade of experience in the art trade, John Swarbrooke joined Sotheby’s Impressionist and Modern Art department in 2012 after graduating from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London. He joined Simon Dickinson gallery in 2015 as a Specialist in Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary Art and was directly involved in their presentations at international art fairs including Frieze Masters, Tefaf and Masterpiece London.

John has also advised a family office on the application of blockchain technology to physical art collecting.
